Safety Precautions for Regathering at Eliot
We are so excited to regather in the sanctuary for in-person worship. It's a big shift from the outdoor worship that we have enjoyed this summer, so we've prepared the following guide to ensure that we all stay safe:
--Masks Required - Everyone will be required to wear a mask, whether vaccinated or unvaccinated. Please bring your own, but there will be masks and hand sanitizer at both entrances to the sanctuary.
--Social Distancing - Every other pew in the sanctuary will be roped off. Worshipers will socially distance themselves in the open pews to keep each other safe and comfortable.
--Ventilation - All windows will be open during the service so dress accordingly.
--Singing - We can still sing! Pastoral staff and choir section leaders are 100% vaccinated and will socially distance. Congregants are encouraged to sing hymns softly, protecting each other by masks and distancing.
--Recorded Worship - We are not in a position to provide live streaming of worship at this time. However services will be recorded and will be available to listen to on our website.
--Children and Families - are encouraged to sit together for the service. Children may occupy themselves at the "Pray-Ground" at the rear of the Sanctuary. There will be no Sunday School or child care for the time being.
--Offering - Offering plates will be at each entrance to the sanctuary. The plate will not be passed.
--Coffee Hour - We will be having coffee hour. The location and how it will operate are still being finalized. People are encouraged to continue to socially distance and wear masks except when eating or drinking.
