Do you already come to Eliot?

Music at Eliot Music abounds at Eliot. Make music with the Chancel Choir and the Eliot Philharmonic. Enjoy concerts provided by excellent outside groups throughout the year. The Christian Education program
is blessed with a great crew of teachers but we could use a few more folks signed up through the fall and winter. There are also ways to help in the background, in organizing supplies and making phone calls. Outreach to Our CommunityThis In addition to supporting certain missions with donations of money and goods, Eliot also supports some missions with gifts of time from its members. Helping our neighbors is double the fun when we're in the company of friends.
Allston Brighton Food Pantry For many years, members of Eliot Church have volunteered at the Allston Brighton Food Pantry (ABFP), a ministry of our sister church, Brighton Allston Congregational Church in Brighton Center. ABFP holds a community supper every Wednesday evening at 6:00pm, offering a nutritious, balanced meal in a friendly environment. This dinner is open to everyone, free of charge, and no ID is required. Eliot members have also fill in during the Thanksgiving season, a particularly busy period for the food pantry, helping with the Thanksgiving food basket distribution on the Saturday before Thanksgiving, and at the special Thanksgiving feast on the Wednesday evening before Thanksgiving Day. City Mission Society Christmas Shop Eliot holds a gift drive that benefits participants in City Mission Society's Homelessness Prevention program. Eliot members also volunteer in the Shop to sort and pack gifts. Martin Luther King Jr. Day of Service Eliot members participate in a Day of Service honoring the memory of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr., sponsored by City Mission and Cooperative Metropolitan Ministries. Charles River Cleanup Eliot members attend this annual cleanup of the Charles River, which is sponsored by the Charles River Watershed Association. |
