Adult Education

At Eliot, there are many opportunities for adults to deepen their faith and spirituality.

On Sundays, at 11:30, an adult forum is held in the parlor. Once a month, someone from the congregation shares their Spiritual Story, which sparks great discussion. Other forums usually focus on a justice or mission issue; or a guest speaker, a bible study, and more . After worship, we usually have an adult forum.

Sacred Conversations

Thursdays, 5:00 Pastor's Office
This small group is open to any and everyone! Each week, we take a topic, and consider it from a biblical and literary point of view. Past topics have included "Risk", "Goddess", "Dying", "Faith", among others. There is always time for checking-in, and prayer.

Women's Spirituality Gathering

Open to all Eliot women and their friends. Meeting twice monthly, (see calendar) this group begins with meditation and silence at 7:15 pm. At 7:30, we open with prayer, and a reading. Often there is sharing, and sometimes a topic is presented for discussion. It is a refreshing and calming time, treasured by many women at Eliot.

Women's Retreat

Once a year, Eliot women gather for a 24 hour retreat filled with reflection, relaxation, refreshments and more. It's an annual gathering not to be missed!

Other

During Lent, an adult study and potluck happens on Sunday evenings. There are also, from time to time, special series during Advent, meditation workshops, and evening gatherings.
