Eliot Speaks for Racial Justice
In light of the recent series of events in the African-American community and the justice system, Mission & Social Justice proposed and Leadership Council approved sending a letter to the Governor and other elected representatives asking the government to help achieve a more just society. Since elected officials track how much mail they get on given topics, LC encourages members of the congregation to download the letter and send it as individuals. As the letter states, "Silence in the face of injustice is not an option. We must let our voices be heard." We will continue to consider the crucial issue as a congregation in the months to come.
